Gurdeep Pandher of the Yukon

Gurdeep Pandher has inspired millions of people through his love of Bhangra – the traditional folk dance of Punjab. Throughout the pandemic, his messages of hope, joy and positivity have radiated around the world and brought a sense of connection during a profound time in our history. Gurdeep graciously shared his time and energy with me, just as he does for so many – and I was lucky enough to meet him during his east-coast tour of Canada.

You can read more about Gurdeep’s important work and try some Bhangra dance here.

Joy does not mean that you fully disconnect from other vital emotions, such as being reflective or feeling sad. It means that joy is your home, and other emotions are places to visit. After visiting, come back to your home to calm your anxieties.” – Gurdeep Pandher
